“My internship at FI Consulting was an intellectually rewarding experience. I had the opportunity to polish my technical skills and get to know the culture of the firm. This past summer, I had the opportunity to work on a project on Big Data analyzing the U.S. single-family mortgage industry. The project required me to find ways of analyzing the single-family mortgages datasets released to the public by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae this past spring. This gave me the chance to build a comprehensive database system and find adequate tools to analyze large amounts of data. This project challenged me to think outside the box since I had to overcome hurdles that arose while using big datasets. I also had the opportunity to meet almost everyone at the firm and be part of the company’s culture. I particularly appreciated having a dedicated project manager and mentor to coach me throughout the internship. FI Consulting is a great place to let your creativity flow and challenge yourself to find innovative ways to analyze data and solve clients' problems.”

The interview process consists of one round of pre-screen interviews, followed by an in-depth in-person interview that assesses each finalist’s finance and technical knowledge and skills, as well as the finalist’s overall fit with FI Consulting.
Q. Will summer associates be on-site at FI Consulting Client offices?
No, summer associates will work at FI Consulting’s company headquarters in Arlington, VA.
Q. What kind of training will be offered to summer associates?
Summer associates will receive technical training related to Programming, Application Design, and Financial and Statistical Modeling in the form of self-directed training modules and hands-on work assignments.
Q. What is the potential that this internship could lead to a full-time position?
There will be full-time opportunities for summer associates with excellent communication skills who have the knowledge and skills to become an FI team member, and who demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly and to take on a broad range of analytical tasks.
Q. If I am selected as an intern, will I be required to interview for a full-time position?
No, summer associates who complete an internship will not be required to interview for a full-time position. Potential offers would be discussed after the completion of the internship.
